Poor winds return a tired Company to Lond Daer. Queen Nimue asks the party to consult with Gandalf in Bree about the sword Caladorn recovered from the barrow at Tol Morwen. In Bree, however, Gandalf is not to be found. Instead they find an angry mother brandishing a broom and a broken heart.
